The Lilly Institute for Genetic Medicine is a new facility in Boston that will focus on the R&D of RNA and DNA-based therapies. Eli Lilly is investing about $700 million to establish the site, which will also include lab and office space for biotech startups.
Findings published in Journal of American College of Cardiology found Cleerly's AI platform matched or outperformed core lab quantitative coronary angiography (QCA), core lab–interpreted coronary computed tomography angiography (CTA), and invasive fractional flow reserve (FFR) for evaluating the severity of coronary arterial stenosis.
The study found that Black patients were labeled "nonadherent" or "noncompliant" more often than their white counterparts and their pain undertreated. Such unfair terminology is used across the board from primary care physicians to specialists.
