Come join our big experiment.
The STAT Future Summit is our first entirely virtual summit since the height of the pandemic, bringing together top speakers from around the world to look at the future of, well, everything about health care.
This summit — hosted each afternoon of September 5 through 7 — is designed to look at what happens next in a big and systematic way. Every session is about the future of something important: gene therapy, genetics, pandemics, vaccines, medical school. That includes the future for companies like Amazon that are beaming in top executives to tell us what is in store for them.
The speaker list couldn't be of a higher caliber. It includes George Church, the famed geneticist, and Ugur Sahin, the BioNTech billionaire. We have AstraZeneca CEO Pascal Soriot, Novartis' new R&D chief Fiona Marshall, and Jerome Adams, the former surgeon general. We'll also have an interview with movie star Seth Rogen and his wife, filmmaker Lauren Miller Rogen. Attendees will be able to submit questions and discuss the sessions live.
Interviews will be conducted by some of the top journalists in health care, including Usha McFarling and Angus Chen, who recently shared an Edward R. Murrow award for their coverage of race and health equity; Helen Branswell, who won a Polk award for her pandemic coverage; and Adam Feuerstein, who led STAT's Polk-winning investigation of the approval process around the Alzheimer's drug Aduhelm.
Best,
Matthew Herper
