Our STAT Summits feature some of the biggest names in science and healthcare. Here are a few of the leaders taking the stage at the main event.
Yvonne Greenstreet, biotech's CEO of the moment. Alnylam, which turned the Nobel-winning science of RNA silencing into actual drugs, is taking on heart disease — an area biotech firms have long ignored — with a treatment for a form of heart failure. Shares are up 30%; Greenstreet will talk about the company's cardiac ambitions.
Tony Coles, voice of authority. Both a consummate marketer and industry conscience, Coles sold Onyx to Amgen for $9.7 billion in 2013 and Cerevel to AbbVie for $8.7 billion, well, just now. In between he's taken on everything from multiple myeloma to Alzheimer's to Parkinson's. He is also the co-chair and co-founder of the Black Economic Alliance. Expect wisdom.
Barney Graham, vaccine pioneer. Graham's big achievement: stabilizing the "spike proteins" that are the key to making some of the world's most important innovations. That includes the first-ever vaccines for both Covid-19 and RSV. He was recognized for this work as a member of this year's STATUS List. He'll tell us about the future.
I hope to see you there!
Best,
