Brian Thompson, the CEO of UnitedHealthcare, was fatally shot in New York City this morning ahead of the company's annual investor conference — leaving behind a long legacy at the most powerful health insurance company in America.
Thompson was remembered as a "respected colleague", a "fabulous father" and the son of a "down-to-earth, hardworking family." He is survived by his wife and two children. As of Wednesday, police had not identified a suspect or motive in his killing.
