Exits Marty Makary resigned from his position as FDA Commissioner after 13 months on the job. He left the agency after months of clashes with the White House and other Trump administration officials over issues including flavored-vape approvals and abortion pill policy. Mayo Clinic CEO Gianrico Farrugia announced that he is stepping down at the end of the year. He has worked within the organization for 32 years, serving as its top executive since 2019. Layoffs St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia is laying off 30 clinical and administrative staff members. This reduction accounts for less than 2% of the hospital’s workforce.
